Hola a todos,
¡Bienvenidos a mi página!
Yo soy la Profe Ángela López. I am originally from Pereira, Colombia, South America. I grew up right in the heart of the Coffee Area, and yes! I love coffee!! My native language is Spanish, and I learned English as a foreign language while living in Colombia. I have always had a passion for languages and cultures.
Learning English led me to teach it, so I started working in the language institute where I was studying. I was given the opportunity to teach EFL to 7 year-olds, then to adolescents and adults. Believe it or not, I started teaching when I was 18 years old, and I haven’t stopped teaching ever since! I really enjoy teaching, as you can see!
Here in the States, I have had the opportunity of teaching Spanish and ESL in very diverse school districts. Since 2013, I have been working at Pace University as an Adjunct Professor of Spanish and Hispanic culture.
I have also tutored middle school and high school students in Spanish and ESL. I have also worked one-on-one with adults interested in learning Spanish communication or English as a second language.
During my teaching experience, I have worked with students with very diverse learning styles and special needs. I have implemented different technology in every class to accommodate all my students’ individual needs and learning styles.
